As a current Headteacher, Chris is excited to be using First4Maths Academy in his own school, seeing the positive impact it makes to children’s outcomes, engagement and enjoyment of maths. He has also seen the increase in teacher’s expertise and ownership of the mathematics curriculum.
Chris joined the First4Maths team in September 2022 bringing with him a wealth of leadership and management experience. Chris has worked in schools for over 25 years in a mixture of rural and town schools in Cheshire West & Chester and Cheshire East. He held leadership positions as a Subject Leader and Deputy Headteacher prior to gaining 14 years of experience as a Headteacher in three primary schools.
Chris is passionate about creating exciting and memorable learning experiences for children, including through first-hand experiences both outside and within the classroom. He has successfully led and managed schools working in collaboration with families, staff and within the local community leading to strong outcomes for children both academically and personally.
Chris is excited to be part of the First4Maths Academy team, using his skills in school evaluation, action planning and supportive monitoring to further develop resources to support Subject Leaders with their role. Chris also supports the team with business and website support.
